In March 2019 I started a three month contract initially to do a combination of content management and front end development. Using a CMS system called Kana
My contract was extended after three months as my manager left the company and I took over temporary management of the department. This included web design and development, server management, executing SQL queries, and general management of the department including managing job boards, raising CRQ's and attending production meetings.
Most of the development was creating new and updating existing Kana templates using a mixture of Kana's own templating language, HTML 5, CSS3, jQuery and JavaScript. The servers were running Microsoft server 2008. Other software used was Microsoft Teams, BMC remedy IT change software. Photoshop, Jira, Trello, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
The main support website I worked on was an internal site used only by three support staff but I also made small amendments to their main customer facing site.
