Ashridge is one of the world's leading business schools, and also offfers a Consulting group. In the Financial Times rankings for tailored executive education, Ashridge is consistently ranked within the top ten schools in Europe.
David has worked for Ashridge twice. From October 2005 to February 2006 and from November 2005 to May 2006.
October 2005 to February 2006
Part of the MBA consortium offered by Ashridge involves an e-learning programme. This was devised because many of the participants live in Europe and the USA.
This programme had been running for two years but many of the objects designed and built using Flash needed to be updated. In addition to this, accessibility controls needed to be built into the site.
After these additions had been completed, updates were required to reflect the new timetable and details of the three new subjects that had been introduced.
In addition to this, some of the content needed to be edited and booklets needed to be produced to accompany the course.
David was the main developer during this period, ensuring the project was delivered efficiently and on-time. The course was run over two separate weekends and received positive feedback from the participants.
November 2005 to May 2006
David was asked to project manage the changes that were required to the 2006 course.
As well as managing the project, David carried out many of the technical aspects including changing the audio visual aspects of the course from Real Player to Macromedia Breeze.
He managed a team of two developers as well as overseeing many live Breeze sessions.
This year's course was the most successful in Ashridge's MBA history and received high praise.
